چکیده

Nowadays, a circular economy is one of the main strategies for developing sustainable economy. The objective this work was to increase value Caulerpa lentillifera waste and use it efficiently as resource lipid extraction. A crude yield approximately 27.69% dry weight obtained under following optimized conditions that consisted three-stage extraction with 15 min/stage using ratio 1:10 (w/v) at room temperature. extracts contained total fatty acids (TFA) content 58.60% extracts, which 10 types acids. proportion palmitic acid (16:0) component above 70% TFA content. Moreover, also chlorophylls b carotenoids 1.77, 0.91, 0.70 µg/mg extract, respectively. phenolic flavonoids content, including 2,2′-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) 1,1′- diphenyl-2-picrahydrazyl (ABTS DPPH, respectively) scavenging activities, showed had high potential antioxidant activity. demonstrated α-glucosidase inhibitory activity an IC50 8.97 mg/mL. Thus, extract could be used alternative product in preventing diabetes disease.

Product Family Approach in E-Waste Management: A Conceptual Framework for Circular Economy

As the need for a more circular model is being increasingly pronounced, a fundamental change in the end-of-life (EoL) management of electrical and electronic products (e-products) is required in order to prevent the resource losses and to promote the reuse of products and components with remaining functionality. However, the diversity of product types, design features, and material compositions...

The potential anticoagulant property of Caulerpa lentillifera crude extract

BACKGROUND Anticoagulants have been used in the treatment of several circulatory diseases and thrombotic disorders, and in the blood sampling for hematologic analysis. Sulfated polysaccharides (SP), which have anticoagulant properties, are found in most seaweeds, including Caulerpa spp. OBJECTIVE The study generally aimed to evaluate the potential anticoagulant property of Caulerpa lentillife...

Influence of particle size and salinity on adsorption of basic dyes by agricultural waste: dried seagrape (Caulerpa lentillifera).

Green macroalga Caulerpa lentillifera was found to have reasonable adsorption capacity for basic dyes, Astrazon Blue FGRL (AB), Astrazon Red GTLN (AR), and Astrazon Golden Yellow GL-E (AY). The initial dye concentration was in the range of 100-1,800 mg/L. The dried algal sorbent was ground and sieved into 3 sizes: S (0.1-0.84 mm), M (0.84-2.0 mm), and L sizes (larger than 2.0 mm). For all condi...

Immunostimulatory activity of polysaccharides isolated from Caulerpa lentillifera on macrophage cells.

Polysaccharides were extracted from Caulerpa lentillifera by treating with water and then purified by size-exclusion chromatography. The purified polysaccharides, termed SP1, were found to be sulfated xylogalactans with a molecular mass of more than 100 kDa. Adding SP1 to murine macrophage RAW 264.7 cells increased the production of nitric oxide (NO) in a dose-dependent manner. NO was found by ...
